Description for Diploma in Information Technology/ Network
Administration and Internet Security
The Diploma in Information Technology/Network
Administration and Internet Security will give you the
opportunity to learn basic concepts dealing with PC
hardware, software, and networking as well as network
and Internet securities, voice and data networks and
basic programming functions. It offers students the
opportunity to become certified specialists in several
computer networking and Internet security fields as
well as managing firewall like Cisco PIX and Microsoft
ISA Server. Students will concentrate on: wide area
networking and web technology and web security. Students
who focus on networking will learn skills such as:
Upon the successful completion of this program, you
should be able to take industry certification in A+,
Network+, Cisco CCNA, Security+, Linux+, and MCSA. Upon
successful completion, the graduate will be prepared

Program
Description for Diploma in Business Administration
The Diploma in Business Administration Program provides
students with a broad understanding of business practices
and a more specialized training than ever before along
with the organizational, interpersonal, computer, decision-making
and practical skills needed to start or continue a successful
career in today's fast-changing business world. While
books and classroom discussion provide knowledge, education
in the program is further enhanced with business simulations,
case studies, term projects and hands-on training. With
the experience and skills learned in the classroom,
students will be able to progress to more responsible
roles in accounting, finance, marketing, operations,
managements, human resource management, personnel or
general administration. This one-year on campus program
makes extensive use of SAIT issued laptop computers
in the delivery of instruction. |

Program Description
for Diploma in ESL and TESL/TEFL Programs
The Diploma in ESL, Academic and Business Communication,
International TESL/TEFL Program is a multilevel and
multi-module program. The length of the program is 18
months and tuition fee for this program is $18,000.00
CDN. It is designed by the Program and Language Centre
at RCIT to enable students to successfully enhance their
communicative skills by improving their reading, writing,
speaking and listening skills, and their pronunciation
and grammar, and by enriching their vocabulary. Memorizing
vocabulary and perfecting grammar are only the beginning
of language acquisition. Meaning comes from culture,
not from words. In order to understand what people mean,
students need to understand the culture and society
in which the language is used.
Fees:
Registration Fee: $200 CDN
Tuition: $16000.00 CDN
Textbooks $1650.00 CDN
Homestay:
• 3 meals per day (lunch you will bring to school
from Monday to Friday).
• Private, furnished bedroom with access to washroom
and laundry facilities (shared rooms are also available).
• A safe, convenient location with good accessibility
to Royal Canadian Institute of Technology
• The airport pickup fee is $60.
If a homestay is required, there is a placement fee
of $230.00 to find a family, after which there is a
monthly rate of $800.00 which starts from the date of
arrival to Vancouver and includes room and board. One
month's notice is required in order to extend your stay
or to leave earlier than originally planned |
