The
Centre for Continuing Education is an academic
division of the University of Macau. Its primary functions
are to provide training and/or consultancy for adults
and enterprises to meet their immediate and future needs,
and more importantly, to promote a culture of lifelong
education helping to shape a better future society (see
for the meaning of adult education).
The Centre recruits qualified professionals from the
industry to provide the best available training in concerned
areas. Through collaboration with renowned partners
all over the world, the Centre brings in a variety of
training programmes that help individuals to obtain
various academic qualifications and professional qualifications
as well. We believe that, in such a way, the standard
and quality of work will be greatly enhanced.

Cost
of Living
It is difficult to provide a precise estimate of the
likely cost because it varies from one person to another.
Generally a minimum of MOP2500.00 (around US317.00)
per month will cover the meals, transportation and other
living expenses.
Accommodation
The University of Macau (UM) offers hostel for non-local
students. Students can choose from on-campus or off-campus
hostel types. In regular cases, without special request
from students, students will be assigned to reside in
twin-bed rooms. Hostel fee of this room type costs MOP$8,780/year
(hostel fee of academic year 2005/2006 for 10 months)
per student. Upon arrival, students are expected to
proceed the hostel check-in procedure at the Student
Affairs Office |
