A. Vietnamese
Language class:
5 days/week, 4 hours/day. There are three courses as
follows:
1. Spring term (17 weeks):
- Period: from March 05, 2007 to June 30, 2007
- Total hours: 332 hours
2. Summer term (5 weeks):
- Period: From July 02, 2007 to July 31, 2007
- Total hours: 88 hours
3. Fall term (16 weeks):
- Period: From September 10, 2007 to December 28, 2007
- Total hours: 312 hours |

B. Vietnamese
cultural lectures:
- 1 lecture per week; 3 periods per lecture (1 period
= 45 minutes)
- The lectures are delivered in English.
- The topics include Vietnamese history, culture, and
economy as the below list:
1. Lecture on Ho Chi Minh City: Geography – History
of Formation by PhD. N.V.Lich
2. Lecture on The Ancient and Medieval History of Vietnam
by PhD.Tran Thi Mai
3. Lecture on Vietnamese History from 1858 to 1945 by
PhD. Le Huu Phuoc
4. Lecture on Vietnam’s Economy under the renovation
Policy by PhD. Tran Dinh Lam
5. Lecture on Ethnic Groups in Vietnam, PhD.Bui KhanhThe
6. Lecture on Catholicism in Vietnam by PhD. Nguyen
Nghi
7. Lecture on Buddhism in Vietnam: Past and Present
by PhD. Nguyen Xuan Kinh
8. Lecture on The Vietnamese Village by PhD. Phan An
Note: Lectures are only organized for groups of 2 or

C. Field trips:
The field trips are as follows:
1. Visit to Ben Thanh market and Binh Tay market
2. Visit to The War Museum and History Museum
3. Visit and The Palace of Independence, Central Post
Office, and Notre Dame Cathedral
4. Excursion to Cu Chi Tunnels and Cao Dai Temple

D. Vietnamese
Language Camp:
Special trip: 7days in Phan Rang – Ninh Thuan
which is organized in July (from July 25 to July 31,
2007).

- This program includes:
+ Learning Vietnamese
+ Outdoor activities
+ Excursions to cultural and historical sites
Culture Special: Exploring the Cham people - where students
can enjoy the unique dance performances of this ethnic
group, and feel free to join in with them. |

Fees:
The Total costs for the 1-Year Intensive Course are
$2, 697
This figure includes:
• Student Visa for Vietnam (1 Year)

Notes:
• This course basically runs for 10 months, from
March until Christmas
• There are 2 main semesters for classroom study
(1st and 3rd), with the middle semester being 1-month
(July) set aside for Field Trips and Cultural Exchange
• August is a months vacation
Total Cost:
• Excel estimate the true actual cost for this
program to be $7,000 per year; which is enough to cover
your entire expenses in Vietnam, with money over for
'Treats'!

Living
Costs:
A quality 1-bedroom apartments with facilities costs
from less than $300 per month. Local alternatives can
be very much cheaper, but are not always secure or suitable
for Westerners
Local food and clothing is very inexpensive; whilst
Western produce where available, costs a comparatively
large amount of money |

Additional
Information:
Vocational courses start at around $3 per hour, with
the course fee for all formal classes being payable
in advance. Hence Elementary Course of 150 hours = $450
Summer Camps from $1, 195 for 2-weeks fully inclusive
(Excluding International flights)
