Summer
Camp mornings are Peruvian Spanish language class,
and can be for grammar or general conversation. English
or Chinese support teachers will also be available
to assist understanding
Afternoons and evening consist
of local adventures and exploration, sports and cultural
exchanges. Peruvian food is excellent and world renowned
At week-ends you will have
a massive selection of trips and excursions to choose
from, and you may prefer to make your final choice
after you arrive in Peru and talk with locals who
know
Excel summer camps include
2 weeks based in Lima, with a third week set aside
for travel and The Inca Trail. You can easily add
extra weeks for either tuition or travel, or opt to
add our 17 day 'See it all' adventure
Excel has also become involved
with several initiative in Peru
• Peasants
in the High Andes plateau are often exploited by both
Peruvian Traders and International conglomerates.
Excel is working on fair trading village initiatives
and co-operatives
• Large parts of Southern Peru are in fact covered
by Amazon jungle, and are a rich source of natural
remedies currently unrecognised in the West. The threats
are many-fold, including de-forestation and forced
migration of forest tribes. Excel is working with
concerned groups to help preserve these wonderful
areas
Peru lies south of the equator,
so UK winter is their summer. This means that during
UK summer we offer summer camps in association with
local teachers and business partners. However, during
UK winter we can offer a choice of University based
language courses, although the same local teachers
will be involved |
